Hello,

My laptop(zbook 17 g2) stuck on preparing automatic repair.

When I ran hardware diagnostics, my hard drive check passed; however, I received "memory quick check : software error".  What does this mean and how can I solve the problem?

Hi @Monaacr

automatic repair can fail for many reasons, the main one being that there are system files that cannot be recovered, in which case it is best to reinstall windows from a USB device.

I tried to reinstall Windows from a USB device, but it got stuck on the logo screen as shown in the uploaded image.

try running the tests again, and see if the disk is working properly,

I ran the tests again and got the same results.

Memory Quick Check: Software error

Hard Drive Check: Passed

how much memory does the laptop have, if it has two memory modules, remove one and test it and then do the same with the second module.
