Hi @Rufus1011,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're encountering the message "account disabled by system administrator" on the Windows 11 sign-in page, it typically indicates that there has been a restriction placed on your user account, possibly by an administrator or due to some system-related issue. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:

Please try the following Troubleshoots steps.

1.    Turn off the Unit.

2.    Disconnect the AC adapter.

3.    Remove any discs from the disc drive.

4.    Remove memory cards from the card reader slot.

5.    Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB flash drives.

6.    Disconnect the AC adapter press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.

7.    Reconnect the AC adapter, and then turn on the computer.

Contact Administrator (if applicable): If you're using your laptop in an organization or under a network managed by an administrator, contact them to inquire about the account status and if any restrictions have been placed on your account.

Try Safe Mode:

  • Restart your computer.
  • As it restarts, press and hold the "Shift" key until you see the "Choose an option" screen.
  • Select "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Startup Settings" > "Restart".
  • After your PC restarts, select "4" or press F4 to enable Safe Mode.

Use Command Prompt:

  • Boot into the Advanced Recovery Environment.
  • Choose "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Command Prompt".
  • Type net user administrator /active:yes and press Enter. This command activates the built-in administrator account.
  • Restart your computer and see if you can log in using the activated administrator account.

Perform System Restore:

  • Boot into the Advanced Recovery Environment.
  • Choose "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "System Restore".
  • Follow the prompts to restore your system to an earlier point in time before the issue occurred.

Use Another Admin Account (if available): If you have another administrator account on the system, try logging in with that account to see if you can manage user accounts or troubleshoot the issue further.

Reset Windows 11:

  • If none of the above steps work, consider resetting Windows 11.
  • Boot into the Advanced Recovery Environment.
  • Choose "Troubleshoot" > "Reset this PC" > "Remove everything".
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your PC. This will reinstall Windows 11 while removing your personal files, settings, and apps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
