Dear HP Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am reaching out regarding my HP Victus 15 laptop, which is encountering driver-related problems that prevent a successful Windows installation. Specifically, when I attempt to use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, I encounter blue screen errors, and even after restarting, the issue persists until it leads to a recovery failure.

Therefore, I kindly request that you provide the necessary updated drivers in a format that I can download and place on my own USB drive. This will help me resolve the driver issues and successfully complete the installation process.

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards

Hi @Omartube070

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I am sorry for the trouble you are facing with your HP Victus 15 laptop during Windows installation. I understand how frustrating it feels to encounter blue screen errors when using the Cloud Recovery Tool, especially after you’ve already tried restarting and the recovery still fails. I appreciate the effort you’ve put in to troubleshoot this so far.

To help you move forward, you can manually download the latest drivers and place them on a USB drive for installation:

Step 1: Identify Your Exact Model

  • Press F1 or F10 at startup (if accessible) or check the product label under the laptop.
  • Note the full product number (for example, Victus 15‑fb0000).

Step 2: Download Drivers

  • Visit HP’s official driver page for the Victus 15 series:
    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-victus-15-fb0000-laptop-pc/2100175032
  • Select Windows 11 (64‑bit).
  • Download the following essential drivers:
    • Chipset driver
    • Graphics driver (AMD/NVIDIA depending on your configuration)
    • Wireless LAN driver
    • Storage controller driver (Intel Rapid Storage Technology if listed)
    • Audio driver

Step 3: Prepare USB Drive

  • Copy the downloaded driver files onto a USB drive.
  • Keep them in clearly labeled folders (Chipset, Graphics, Wi‑Fi, etc.) for easy access during installation.

Step 4: Install Drivers After Windows Setup

  • Once Windows installation completes, plug in the USB drive.
  • Open each driver folder and run the setup files one by one.
  • Restart the laptop after installing chipset and storage drivers before proceeding with graphics and audio.

Step 5: Firmware and BIOS Updates

  • On the same support page, check for BIOS updates.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS version to ensure compatibility with TPM and Secure Boot.

These steps will allow you to bypass the Cloud Recovery Tool and manually load the drivers needed for a stable installation.

Hi @Omartube070

I understand how discouraging repeated blue screen errors can be, especially when they block you from completing Windows setup. Since the Cloud Recovery Tool isn’t working for you, here’s a structured path to perform a complete system recovery on your HP Victus 15 using manual methods:

Step 1: Prepare Recovery Media

  1. On another Windows PC, download the Windows 11 installation media from Microsoft:
    Windows 11 Installation Media
  2. Use the Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB drive (minimum 8 GB).
  3. Keep a second USB drive ready to store HP drivers.

Step 2: Gather HP Drivers

  1. Identify your exact Victus 15 model (e.g., Victus 15‑fb0000).
  2. Visit HP’s driver page:
    HP Victus 15 Drivers
  3. Download these essential drivers:
    • Chipset driver
    • Intel Rapid Storage Technology (storage controller)
    • Graphics driver (AMD/NVIDIA depending on your configuration)
    • Wireless LAN driver
    • Audio driver
  4. Copy them onto the second USB drive in labeled folders.

Step 3: BIOS and Firmware Check

  1. Power on the laptop and press F10 to enter BIOS.
  2. Ensure Secure Boot and TPM are enabled.
  3. From the HP support page, download and install the latest BIOS update using the USB drive if available.

Step 4: Clean Windows Installation

  1. Insert the Windows 11 USB drive and boot from it (press F9 at startup to select boot device).
  2. Choose Custom Install.
  3. Delete all existing partitions (this clears corrupted recovery data).
  4. Create a new partition and proceed with installation.
    • If storage drivers are missing, click Load Driver during setup and browse to the Intel Rapid Storage driver on your second USB drive.

Step 5: Install Drivers Post‑Setup

  1. Once Windows installs, plug in the driver USB.
  2. Install drivers in this order:
    • Chipset driver → Storage driver → Graphics driver → Wireless LAN → Audio driver.
  3. Restart after chipset and storage installation before continuing.

Step 6: Run Windows Update

  1. Connect to Wi‑Fi.
  2. Open Settings > Windows Update and install all available updates.
  3. This ensures cumulative patches and additional drivers are applied.

Step 7: Verify System Stability

  1. Test by running basic applications and checking Device Manager for missing drivers.
  2. If BSODs persist, note the error code (e.g., IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) and reinstall the corresponding driver.

This process bypasses the Cloud Recovery Tool entirely and gives you a clean Windows installation with the correct HP drivers.

Would you like me to also outline how to slipstream the storage driver directly into the Windows installation USB, so you don’t have to load it manually during setup? That can make the installation smoother if the BSODs are tied to storage controller issues.

please tell me  how to slipstream the storage driver directly into the Windows installation USB cause i cant bypass the installer

I understand how discouraging it must feel to be blocked at the installer stage by repeated BSODs. You’ve already done a lot of careful troubleshooting, so let’s go step by step on how to slipstream the storage driver directly into your Windows installation USB. This way, the installer will already have the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver available and won’t fail when accessing the disk.

Step 1: Gather Required Files

  1. On another Windows PC, download the Windows 11 ISO using the Media Creation Tool.
  2. Download the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver for your exact Victus 15 model from HP’s support page:
    HP Victus 15 Drivers
    • Extract the driver package so you have the .inf, .cat, and .sys files ready.

Step 2: Prepare the USB

  1. Use Rufus or the Media Creation Tool to create a bootable Windows 11 USB.
  2. Once created, copy the extracted IRST driver folder onto the USB (for manual loading if needed).
  3. For slipstreaming, you’ll integrate the driver into the boot image.

Step 3: Mount the Windows ISO

  1. On the helper PC, install the Windows ADK (Assessment and Deployment Kit).
  2. Mount the Windows 11 ISO by right‑clicking → Mount.
  3. Copy the contents to a working folder (e.g., C:\Win11ISO).

Step 4: Integrate the Driver

  1. Open Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment (from ADK) as Administrator.
  2. Mount the boot image:dism /Mount-Wim /WimFile:C:\Win11ISO\sources\boot.wim /index:2 /MountDir:C:\Mount
  3. Add the IRST driver:dism /Image:C:\Mount /Add-Driver /Driver:C:\Drivers\IRST /Recurse (Replace C:\Drivers\IRST with the folder containing the .inf files.)
  4. Commit changes and unmount:dism /Unmount-Wim /MountDir:C:\Mount /Commit

Step 5: Rebuild the USB

  1. Copy the modified boot.wim back into the sources folder of your USB.
  2. Safely eject the USB.
  3. Boot your Victus 15 from this USB. The installer will now have the storage driver pre‑loaded.

Step 6: Proceed with Installation

  • Run the Windows setup as usual.
  • The installer should now detect your SSD/HDD without requiring you to manually load drivers.
  • After installation, use your second USB with the other HP drivers (chipset, graphics, audio, Wi‑Fi) to complete setup.

By slipstreaming the IRST driver into the installation media, you eliminate the “missing driver” bottleneck that causes BSODs during setup. This process ensures the installer has everything it needs from the start.

i cant find the intel rapid storage technology my laptop is  hp victus 15-fb1003nx

i have an amd Ryzen 5 7535hs cpu and a  Nvidia rtx 2050 so please tell me what to install and i changed my SSD its not the original but it was fine when i installed it this problem came after months

Hi @Omartube070

Thank you for clarifying the exact model and configuration—it makes a big difference. Since your HP Victus 15‑fb1003nx is built on an AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS CPU with an NVIDIA RTX 2050 GPU, the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver is not relevant here. IRST applies only to Intel‑based systems.

For your AMD platform, the storage controller and chipset drivers come from AMD instead.

What you need to install for AMD + NVIDIA configuration

Windows 11 installation media

Essential drivers for HP Victus 15‑fb1003nx

  • Visit HP’s driver page for your exact model:
    HP Victus 15‑fb1003nx Drivers
  • Download these drivers and place them on a second USB drive:
    • AMD Chipset driver (handles storage controller and power management)
    • NVIDIA Graphics driver (RTX 2050)
    • Wireless LAN driver (Realtek or MediaTek depending on your configuration)
    • Audio driver (Realtek)
    • BIOS update (if available)

Installation order after Windows setup

  • First install the AMD Chipset driver (this ensures proper storage and PCIe handling).
  • Restart the laptop.
  • Install the NVIDIA Graphics driver.
  • Install Wireless LAN and Audio drivers.
  • Run Windows Update to pull in cumulative patches and any additional drivers.

If installer fails to detect SSD

  • Since you replaced the SSD, ensure it is seated properly and recognized in BIOS (press F10 at startup).
  • If Windows setup does not see the drive, load the AMD Chipset driver from your USB during installation (choose “Load Driver” in the installer and point to the extracted driver folder).
  • This replaces the IRST step that Intel systems require.

By focusing on the AMD chipset driver instead of Intel IRST, you’ll give the installer the correct storage controller support for your Ryzen‑based Victus. Once Windows is installed, adding the graphics, Wi‑Fi, and audio drivers will stabilize the system.

i don't know the drivers that make the bsods and the link for the drivers that you sent is not working

is there any way i can download all of my laptop drivers and inject them in the windows installation?

is there a usb i can buy that fixes my problem?

HP Recommended

Thanks for replying.

I understand how frustrating it feels to face repeated BSODs and broken links when you’re simply trying to get your HP Victus 15 back to stable operation. Let’s stay within HP’s support boundaries and focus on the official options available to you.

Downloading All Drivers

  • You can download the complete set of drivers for your HP Victus 15 directly from HP’s official support site: HP Software and Driver Downloads.
  • Enter your exact product model (Victus 15) and operating system (Windows 11).
  • Download the Full Driver Pack or install drivers one by one (chipset, graphics, audio, network, etc.).
  • These drivers cannot be “injected” into Windows installation media automatically. They must be installed after Windows setup completes.

USB Recovery Media

  • HP does not sell a “USB stick that fixes drivers.”
  • What HP does provide is HP Recovery Media (USB/DVD) for your specific model. This reinstalls Windows along with all factory drivers and software.
  • You can order recovery media through HP’s support site or HP Customer Care.

Recommended Next Steps

  1. Perform a clean Windows installation.
  2. After installation, install drivers from HP’s support page for your Victus 15.
  3. If BSODs persist and you cannot identify the driver, HP phone support can provide remote access assistance to help isolate the faulty driver and guide you through recovery.
