My computer has been running perfectly for a while now and then all of a sudden it starts to continuously crash. On startup the Caps lock light keeps blinking 5 times with a black screen then the computer restarts itself until it boots up. When it boots up the computer runs fine for a few minutes then the screen just freezes and either goes blank or shows that the blue crash screen and even then the screen freezes when the computer tries to give a crash report. I have no clue what to do and I’m desperate for this to work. Any help or advice?

The Windows file system could be corrupt or there is a hard disk error or undefined technical error.

DST is drive self test. This means that the seekread and write operations can no longer be performed reliably due to technical errors. 

 

Recommendation and solution

 

The hard disk urgently needs to be replaced ! A later access to the hard disk via a SATA-to-USB adapter is still possible. However, it cannot be guaranteed that you can access all data.

 

Windows operating system must be installed on new hard drive using HP Cloud Recovery or Official Setup from Microsoft

 

HP warranty valid -> Contact HP Support for service repair

 

HP warranty expired:

If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.
