Support Assistant
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It is very frustrating that HP support Assistant insists on resending messages that it has already sent time after time.

Welcome to HP Support

HP Support Mobile App

Life-Proof your brand new PC?

Having operating system issues?

Having PC Performance issues?

Having some audio issues on your PC?

I receive these, delete them and then a few weeks later get them sent again, gradually the number of messages that are sent repeatedly is growing and there is now 9 messages all of which I have received before - surely I don't need  the "Welcome to HP Support" and "Life-Proof your new PC" when I have been using the application for over a year.

Do you use the latest version from the HP Support Assistant (try to re-install it).

same as as I and I couldn´t reproduce that. Did you have only one PC or multiple added there? Did you use the login option in the software or use it without a login (I use that with an login, I would say that the messages are saved in the DB on HP and therefore didn´t re-appear on my side).

I have two laptops listed, I am logged in, I delete all the messages and they reappear the following month. There is no way to bulk delete them, I have to delete them one at a time and the next time there are the same messages and often a few new ones to boot.

Just to emphasise, I deleted all the messages on 1 March and I have the same nine messages sent to me today.

Hopefully someone somewhere will know what triggers the messages and why it insists on sending the same messages to the same people; just as an aside, under privacy laws shouldn't there be some opt-in option for receiving these support/marketing messages?
