I contacted HP on February 21, 2020 asking for a supervisor to contact me. I am mad and disgusted with HP's performance in making things right. Their "foreign support" people have ruined my H.P computer and the Back-up disc. They lost all of my personal information and told me to take it to Office Depot, they want $300.00 to repair it and an unbelievable amount to "attempt" to recover my data that their foreign support people destroyed. I want my money back for their terrible support and they owe me a new computer. I am a 72 year old disabled senior citizen that has been fleeced by THEIR support people. If I am not contacted within 2 weeks of March 5, 2020, I will contact the council on aging, the better business bureau and have my grandson tell the world about it on his facebook account, instagram account, twitter, snap chat and u-tube to announce to the world that HP takes advantage of low income disabled senior citizens. I have copied the e-mail that was sent to you on February 21,2020 and it contains the case number..

I have not heard a word from HP and I am disgusted. Does anyone know how to get them to contact me???

@Doodle481,

I surmise your highly irate.  🤔    I did move your post to the correct forum.  You had posted in a desktop OS forum. I will send a note to an HP moderator.  It's a forum supervisor.

These forums are supported by volunteers, and we are  not  HP employee's.  Making threats to a NON-HP employee reflects on your understanding of a public forum.  Rather than rant a tirade of threats, you should ask if there is a solution. What actual functionality does the computer have?     (I might even get censored for my comment).   🤐

1) Is the Recovery program still intact? Read all of this before you create an additional problem.

2) You said data files (documents, pictures, music, etc) were destroyed?  How do you know.  Use caution, as any writing to the hard drive will over-write previous data blocks on the hard drive. This program, Lazesoft Recovery, can repair and also copy you data files to a different physical external hard drive.  You can also put the original SATA hard drive in an external SATA3 to USB3.0 device. That will allow you to read the hard drive. and copy data files.

Let calm prevail, and I will endeavor to help you.

Please allow me to apologize for my rant. It's very frustrating to pay for a service, be given to 4 or 5 different Support people that I had an awful time of understanding what they were saying and ended up with a computer that now has a black screen. My sister has loaned me this computer so I can obtain help from HP. I tried the stick that I did the last back-up of my system when they were helping, but alas it shows that the stick is now void of any data. I find myself feeling hurt and financially unable to purchase another computer and thus the terrible rant. This computer that I borrowed has Windows 7 on it, can't figure how to raise it to Windows 8. Because my screen is black and the back-up stick is now void of any data, I sent two e-mails to HP. I would really like to talk to a human and not the virtual assistant. Can anyone provide a way for me to reach HP concerning this matter? All help is genuinely appreciated. Thank you for your time.

@Doodle481,

Your computer: What does it do now?  Are you willing/capable to remove the hard drive?  Is so, after the removal, then turn it on again, and report back what happened?  I am seeking a message on the screen.

The loaner can easily be upgraded to WIN 10 for free. On 25Mb/sec service it taken 3 hours.
