Hi @Rosenthal7

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand you're looking for the System Board Configuration Utility for your HP Victus 16 after replacing the BIOS chip and need the utility to program system-specific information such as the serial number, product number, feature byte, and board data.

For current HP platforms, the traditional System Board Configuration Utility is generally not provided as a public download. HP typically distributes board-configuration tools through authorized HP support channels and service resources, as they write platform-specific system information to the system board.

Before proceeding, please confirm:

  • The full product number of your Victus 16 (for example, something similar to 8xxxxx#xxx).
  • Whether you replaced only the BIOS chip or the entire system board/motherboard.
  • Whether the notebook displays messages such as:
    • "Product Information Not Valid"
    • "Serial Number Not Set"
    • "Feature Byte Not Programmed"
    • "System Board (00A/00B)" errors

Once you provide the product number and the exact startup message, we can identify the correct HP board-configuration package or HP service utility applicable to your specific Victus 16 platform and guide you further.

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi @Rosenthal77

Thank you for providing the product details and confirming that the BIOS chip was replaced on your HP Victus 16-s0020nt (Product ID: 7Z4M9EA#AB8).

Since the BIOS chip was replaced and all DMI/system information is now blank, the system typically requires platform-specific board information to be restored, including the serial number, product number, UUID, feature byte, and build ID. For current Victus platforms, the legacy System Board Configuration Utility is generally not available as a public HP download.

For your model, HP does not publish a standalone download link for the board-configuration utility. The required programming package is platform specific and depends on the motherboard family and BIOS generation.

In the meantime, could you confirm the following:

  • Does the notebook boot into Windows normally?
  • Do you receive any startup messages such as "Product Information Not Valid" or "Feature Byte Not Programmed"?
  • When you press F1 at startup and enter BIOS Setup, are the Serial Number, Product Number, UUID, and Feature Byte fields completely blank?

If possible, please share clear photos of:

  1. The BIOS Main/System Information screen.
  2. Any startup error messages displayed during boot.

This information will help determine whether the board data can be restored through the available HP service utilities for the Victus 16 platform or if additional platform-specific configuration data is required.
