Hi  @mgauci,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out.

I understand that your HP Spectre x360 is shutting down whenever it is disconnected from the power adapter, and that the issue continues even after replacing the battery. I appreciate the troubleshooting you have already completed, and I will be glad to assist you further.

To help us better understand the issue, kindly confirm the below details:

  • Does the battery charge normally to 100%?
  • When the laptop shuts down, does it power off immediately or show any warning message first?
  • Could you kindly let us know the exact System Board error message or error code you receive?
  • Have you noticed any battery warning messages in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics or BIOS?
  • Also kindly confirm the battery replaced was it from HP or third party ?

In the meantime, kindly try the below steps and confirm :

  1. Perform a Hard Reset (Click here for steps )
    • Shut down the laptop.
    • Disconnect the AC adapter.
    • Press and hold the Power button for 15-20 seconds.
    • Reconnect the adapter and turn on the laptop.
  2. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics ( Click here for steps )
    • Turn off the notebook.
    • Power it on and repeatedly tap F2.
    • Run the Battery Test and System Board Test.
    • Kindly share the results or any failure IDs displayed.
  3. Update BIOS
    • If the notebook remains stable while connected to AC power, kindly ensure the BIOS is updated to the latest version available for your model using HP Support Assistant or the HP Software and Driver Downloads page - https://support.hp.com/ .

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
