Hello,
I am currently experiencing an issue with my computer where, I believe during an update, the computer was accidentally shut off and cannot boot back up. Now, turning on my computer, I am only faced with a black screen with the HP logo, saying "Preparing Automatic Repair", which usually will stay on that screen indefinitely.
Looking through options available online, I opened the startup menu (tapping ESC) and ran System Diagnostics (F2). Through this, I ran hardware tests (through HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI) which came back showing no issue, as all options "passed". Additionally, I ran the Hard Drive/SSD Storage Test and the Memory Test, both of which came back as "passed".
After reviewing several more options online, I concluded my next step would be System Recovery (F11) through the startup menu. However, upon doing this, I am once again at an endless black screen, now with the message saying "Please Wait".
Honestly, I am fine with losing all of the info on the computer, as most of my info is already backed up online. I just want to be able to use the computer again.
Any help on this issue would be much appreciated, thank you!
