Download the ICH8 driver and extract it to a folder with 7Zip or other unzip utility. Install nLite and run it according to the tutorial in the link found in XP Guide.
If it isn't detailed enough, Dan has a complete guide on SATA slipsteaming. Look at the section for "models with GL960, GML960, GM965 or PM965 chipset" HERE

As mentioned in the XP Guide_most XP drivers from V6700TX will work for your model. Install Intel Chipset Installation Utility for ICH8 first and reboot before other drivers.
(see below also before continuing with other drivers):

Nvidia Graphics:
Some of the drivers above require .Net,MS UAA and Windows Installer 3.1 first.
MS UAA(required with a reboot before Realtek audio):
.Net Framework(before Quick Launch):

Windows Installer 3.1(before wireless):

Thankyou for all of you help. I tried to install x64 vista from the recovery disk's one more time because i thought it should work but i was able to get most of it done by putting a xp disk in the dvd drive after the 2 disks were finished and pressing the power button when it hung also waiting a couple of minutes (to cool down)??? thought maybe it was a issue... not any way it got through most of the recovery not sure the percentage tho...(FAIL!!!!) I followed the info you posted and got xpSP3 loaded and then installed the drivers and all is fine now. As far as i can see, think that that i have tested everything. One issue that i found is when i plug a ext. monitor in and hit Fn #4 i get the small screen above the task bar but no output to the monitor???? I still have to test the Hdmi output as i need to get a cable...
anyway kudos++++ I have learned a lot from this Experience

My dear you make recovery disk as active first this will make your system boot from recovery and you know your recovery manager does not recover window to it orignal factory condition but dont worry ...
system is facing boot problem ... first you have to make your window partition bootable using
any window cd (window 7, or 8 ) repair using cmd
set your boot files of window use
1- bootrec /scanos
2-bootrec /fixmbr
3- bootrec /fixboot
4- bootrec /rebuildbcd
this make your window full boot
your recovery manager will work properly ...... if you ..
