Hi @Matt1611 .
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your HP laptop's BIOS. The "System BIOS pending image" message typically indicates that there might be a problem with the BIOS firmware or that a BIOS update is in progress. However, if the laptop cannot turn on and the message is only flashing for a split second, it could be a more critical issue.
Here are steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the laptop from any power source.
- Remove the battery if it's removable.
- Hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery (if applicable) and power source, then try turning on the laptop.
Check Power Supply:
- Make sure the power adapter is functioning correctly. Try using a different power outlet and power cable.
- If possible, test the laptop with another compatible power adapter.
BIOS Recovery:
- laptops have a BIOS recovery feature that allows you to recover from a failed BIOS update. Check your laptop's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to perform a BIOS recovery.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
