HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq105dx

My computer screen is black but the caps lock is blinking. I looked it up online and it blinks 3 times slow and then 5 times fast which I think means that it my CPU is not detected but I'm not really sure what that means or how I can fix it.

Hello @saorsi

Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting.

HP has created an article about such issues - I think you may have read it -> https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01732674#AbT2

You are correct - this pattern, this type of blinking really confirms CPU (processor) and mother board problems.

This is a hardware issue and > these should be tested < by a tech service center. The faulty component needs to be replaced in service center by qualified technicians. I am afraid you will need to bring your computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center. If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first for free in-warranty assistance . If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Here is more info:

Hope this helps.
