Hi I have a problem with this laptop the system process runs at 30 % all the time and using procexp to drill in deeper it reveals that ACPI DRIVER FOR NT is the culprit. I have update windows and all drivers and Bios are updated, I have followed many tips on the net but so far no luck. I have used Hp Assistant to try and repair and diagnose but nothing helps.I have done safe boot but in safe boot status the cpu runs 30%. I dont know if this is normal but I dont see it happen on other pc's or laptops. I would aprreciate if anyone can help me - thanks

I have found the problem. I have replaced the DVD drive with a hard drive, and the caddy that holds the hard drive has a tiny switch on one side. The switch must be switched to another position so that the BIOS doesn't think the DVD is still open. This was the reason the cpu (system) was running 30% all the time - just the flip of a switch fixed it - thanks
