Hi @896707,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Could you tell me the exact model of your HP laptop?
  • Do you recall what happened just before this message appeared (for example, a Windows update, new software installation, or sudden shutdown)?
  • Are you able to reach the Windows login screen at all, or does it stop at this recovery message?

Suggested Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Perform a Hard Reset
    • Power off your laptop completely.
    • Disconnect any external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
    • Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds, then restart.
  2. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
    • Turn on your laptop and immediately press Esc repeatedly.
    • From the Startup Menu, press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
    • Run a quick system test to check for hardware issues.
  3. Access Recovery Options
    • Restart and press F11 repeatedly to open HP Recovery Manager.
    • If available, you can try System Restore to roll back to a previous working state.
  4. Check BIOS Settings
  • Restart and press F10 to enter BIOS.
  • Ensure your hard drive is detected and the boot order is correct.

Please note: HP will never ask you to visit any third-party website. If you see a link that doesn’t clearly belong to HP, kindly avoid visiting it unless you are absolutely sure it is an official HP link.
