A few days ago I bought the HP 250 G8. As it does not seem to me to be possible, as with other notebooks, to perform a system recovery for possible crashes, I contacted HP Assistance who told me to download the HP cloud recovery tool, as indicated in the support page of the product. But the program reports product id invalid.
I read some problems was for old notebooks, but it is recent product.
Yet HP tells me that the product is regularly registered and under warranty. Suggestions? Thanks

Hi:
I entered that product number in the HP cloud recovery tool database and got the same result. Not supported.
Cloud Recovery (cloud-recovery.s3-website-us-west-1.amazonaws.com)
Since your notebook is under warranty and you can't make recovery media with the cloud recovery tool, I recommend you contact HP in Italy and request they send you a USB recovery drive.
I had HP do that for me when my HP Stream Pro 11 G4, which also had the info link to the recovery tool on the support page indicated my notebook's product number was not supported.
They did so free of charge.
I don't know what other software came with your notebook, but I had no problem clean installing W10 and then just downloading the drivers and available software from the support page, when the little 64 GB eMMC drive got too full.
You can also do this...make a system image of your current W10 installation, so you can easily reinstall W10 in the future.
I used the free Macrium Reflect software to do that, under the Backup at Home section.
Along with the system image, make sure you create the bootable DVD or USB rescue drive you boot from to access the system image stored on your portable hard drive.

Hello fiend.
I contacted again HP, who suggested I contact Microsoft. But now Microsoft has only virtual assistance, which only covers answers to general problems: I have not been able to get an answer for my problem. Now I will try to insist with HP to get USB recovery drive. Thank you for your suggestion.
I downloaded Macrium software also.

You're very welcome.
You don't need to contact Microsoft for assistance.
How to clean install W10...
You can create a plain W10 USB installation flash drive with the Media creation tool from the link below.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
