Hi!

I am using hp notebook for fews years my system slowed down alot. Thinking if I can upgrade my processor from core 2 to core quad. My current processor is Intel® Core™ i3-6006U.

Hi:

 

Your notebook's processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

In order to upgrade the processor, you would have to replace the system board with one listed in chapter 3 of the service manual that comes with a better processor.

Such an upgrade is almost always a poor return on investment, not to mention the scope of work involved.

 

The best thing you can do to improve the performance of your notebook would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD) and add a second 8 GB memory chip in the empty memory slot.
