Hello HP community,
In views of Windows 11, I'll like to know if my HP Notebook can have TPM module activated (or driver installed).
Product informations:
Name: HP ENVY 17-j140nf Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Product Number: F8R65EA#ABF
BIOS Version/Date: Insyde f.70 10/20/2017 (Prior version: insyde f.53, 05/05/2014)
I updated the BIOS from HP website.
With the updated BIOS, I couldn't find a TPM driver (neither unknown or security) in the device manager or in my BIOS (boot), whereas on some videos I watched, older HP NoteBook laptops such as Notebook 15 had it in their BIOS under security.
Should I rollback my BIOS (reset BIOS version) to be able to activate it ?
Also, I found a TPM driver for HP Notebooks (driver sp81900) and wonder if that is recommended to be installed on my notebook.
P.S : I know Windows 11 will be stable by 2022, I wish to know if this computer is compatible.
