HP Notebook - 15-da0077tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've hp-15 da0077tx laptop

which was running w11, at that time there was option of TPM device in bios security tab.

Then due to w11 not running well, I decided to clean install w10

After installing,

There is no more option of TPM device in bios.,

I have updated bios but didn't work.

Current bios version is " Insyde F.42 " .

Currently running OS is W10

Plz give any idea what can I do., Because I can't install w11 without TPM (I don't want to install w11 with using some hacks to bypass TPM)

@Vinay_Ranvir,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

TPM is a microchip designed to provide basic security-related functions. Please check in Device Manager to see if you have it installed by typing device manager in your Windows search bar, then left-click on the Device Manager Control panel app.

You should see something like this (click on Security devices):

If TPM shows up, activate it in BIOS by tapping the F10 key immediately after powering on. If this does not work for you, restart and start tapping the Esc key to halt boot and bring up the menu where F10 BIOS setup will be offered as an option. Look for TPM in BIOS under the Security tab to determine if it can be Enabled. If so, make the change then Save & Exit out of BIOS setup.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

In device manager there is no option of security processor.

also after opening tpm.msc in windows run it shows No TPM device found.

But previously when I had windows 11 running on by laptop

there was option of TPM in BIOS>security tab

now don't know where it goes 😞

Hello Vinay,

I had a similar issue with an HP Pro x2 612 G2 where TPM was not displaying the Device Manager under the Security devices section.  Because of this, I was not able to update to Windows 11 since TPM 2.0 is a requirement.

I confirmed that my device contained TPM 2.0 on the HP specifications page.  The root cause was a bad BIOS update at some point.  I searched through the BIOS updates on the HP drivers page for my device and found a BIOS update that corrected an issue with the TPM 2.0 several updates back.  I reverted my BIOS back to this previous version and the Trusted Platform Module 2.0 was finally showing up under Security devices in the Device Manager.  After that, I updated my BIOS back to the latest version and the device was still showing the TPM 2.0.

For your device, you will want to look here:  HP Notebook - 15-da0077tx Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support

Expanding the BIOS section, you will see an arrow to expand the Previous version section.  From there, you can view the different version and select See full details to view just what changes were made for each update.

Hope this works for you too!

Regards,

Joe
