The TPM is not being shown in the BIOS when it is present on board the HP Notebook 15-da01056od.

Try these steps:

Update BIOS

  • Visit the HP Support page for your notebook model.
  • Download the latest BIOS update available for your HP Notebook 15-da01056od.
  • Follow the instructions provided on the HP Support page to update your BIOS.
  • Restart your notebook and check if the TPM is now visible in BIOS settings.

Reset BIOS to Defaults

  • Restart your notebook, and press the F10 key during startup to enter BIOS settings.
  • Navigate to the "Exit" tab in BIOS.
  • Select "Load Setup Defaults" or "Restore Defaults" and confirm.
  • Save changes and exit the BIOS.

Enable TPM in BIOS

Enter BIOS:

  • Restart your notebook and press the F10 key to enter BIOS settings.
  • Navigate to the "Security" or "Advanced" tab.
  • Look for TPM or Security Chip settings. If TPM settings are hidden or disabled, enable them.
  • Save changes and exit the BIOS.
  • Restart your notebook and check if TPM is now visible.

Check Device Manager in Windows

Open Device Manager:

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.

Expand Security Devices:

  • Look for "Security Devices" and expand the section.
  • Check if the TPM module is listed. If it is present but not active, update the driver for TPM.

Update TPM Firmware

Download TPM Update:

  • Visit the HP Support page to see if there's a firmware update available for TPM.

Install TPM Firmware Update:

  • Follow the provided instructions to update the TPM firmware.
  • Restart your notebook and check BIOS again.
