On both of the above laptops the taskbar has stopped working correctly. I have it set to auto hide but when using either edge or chrome, when I open a full screen page, I cannot get the taskbar to open when I lower the mouse to bottom of desktop. I have tried all the Internet suggestions with no luck.
I wonder if this is a glitch with either Microsoft or HP....I look forward to any suggestions...It all started about 1 week ago. Thank You in advance...Mike

Yesterday morning I woke up to find my Pavilion with Windows 11 had updated. I had to reopen all my browsers. When My first browser was open to maximum dimensions (but technically not full screen), I discovered that I could not open my task bar (always has been set to auto hide) by hovering my mouse arrow over the bottom edge of the viewport. After some fiddling around, I learned that the taskbar still works, but for some reason my browser (any browser, Firefox, Edge, Chrome) is a layer above the taskbar. That means the browser is always in front of the task bar, so I can only hover or click the taskbar if I can actually see some of it. That means I have to lift the bottom edge of the browser out of the way, or even un-check "autohide taskbar" in settings.
That is not a solution. Now I've lost valuable screen real estate to an always-present taskbar. I call this a bug, not a feature.
