Hi @Prodlex,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing a pop-up issue related to Conexant Smart Audio on your Windows 10 (64-bit) system. Please try the troubleshooting steps that might help resolve this issue:
Troubleshooting the Conexant Smart Audio Error:
- Update Audio Drivers:
- Go to your PC's manufacturer's website (if it's an HP device, visit Official HP® Support.
- Search for the latest audio driver compatible with your device model and Windows 10 (64-bit).
- Download and install the updated driver.
- Device Manager Check:
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Sound, Video, and game controller section.
- If your audio device shows a yellow exclamation mark or seems missing, right-click and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Reinstall Conexant Audio Drivers:
- In Device Manager, right-click your audio device and select Uninstall device.
- Check the box to delete the driver software for this device if prompted.
- Restart your computer. Windows may reinstall the driver automatically.
- Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates to ensure your system has the latest updates, which may include audio driver updates.
- Disable Startup Program:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Switch to the Startup tab.
- Locate Conexant Smart Audio and disable it if it appears to be a startup program causing the error.
- Alternative Audio Settings:
- Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select Playback devices.
- Ensure that your correct audio output device is set as the default.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
