Microsoft Windows 11

I'm trying to create a Recovery USB Unit using HP Cloud Recovery Tool, but it sent me the message that the session is not valid or ended. Upgrade the last version of HP Cloud Recovery Tool.

After it sends the error 0xC00412.

Hi  i have had the same problem with the cloud recovery tool from the ms store

i have tried to use the app the create the recovery image as have had done in the past so i know the device is supported but get the same error as the authentication is invalid or expired please update hpvcloud recovery tool to latest version i have checked for updates and this is the latest version

this is not a windows 11 issue or device issue as i have tested the app on a different device on windows 11 and get the same i have also tested on a vm running windows 10 as well and still the same error not a isp issue as well as tested on mobile

HP please can you sort this issue out as by the looks of it is affecting multi users

@LEODP,

The authentication problem appears to lie on the downloaded recovery tool software itself, not on our side.

You can still install W11 from the Microsoft W11 download site.

See this thread where this person encountered the same error but installed W11 from the Microsoft download center.

See the HP link in the thread for how to install W11 if you need instructions.
