Hi @Mark7323,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • How often does this error occur every startup, or intermittently during use?
  • Were there any recent changes such as Windows updates, new drivers, or software installations before the issue began?
  • Does the system show any performance issues (slowdowns, freezes) before the reboot happens?
  • Have you tried reviewing the minidump file with Windows Debugging Tools or HP Support Assistant?

In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
    • Restart the laptop and press Esc repeatedly → select F2 for diagnostics.
    • Run the Extensive Test on memory and hard drive, since bugcheck 0x0000001a often points to memory management issues.
  2. Check for Windows Updates
    • Go to Settings → Windows Update and ensure your system is fully updated. Sometimes stability patches resolve these errors.
  3. Update Drivers and BIOS
    • Visit HP’s support website for your model and download the latest BIOS and chipset drivers. Outdated firmware or drivers can trigger bugcheck errors.
  4. System File Check
    • Open Command Prompt (Admin) and run:

sfc /scannow

  1. This will scan and repair corrupted system files.
    5. Memory Test
    • Run Windows Memory Diagnostic (search “Windows Memory Diagnostic” in Start menu). Faulty RAM can cause bugcheck 0x1a errors.

I hope this helps.
