The keys 3edc don't always work. Is this a known bug?  They all ALWAYS work on .gov websites.

@JonnyEighty8, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you might be experiencing an issue with specific keys not functioning properly on your HP Notebook - 14-cf1051od. This could be due to a number of factors, including keyboard hardware issues or software conflicts.

While there isn’t a known specific bug that affects only these keys across all websites and applications, here are some general troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve key functionality issues on your HP Notebook:

Software Update: Ensure that all drivers, particularly the keyboard driver, and your operating system are up to date. You can use the HP Support Assistant to check for updates.

Clean the Keyboard: Debris or dust may impede key contact. Gently clean your keyboard using compressed air.

Keyboard Troubleshooting: Run the Windows Keyboard troubleshooter. You can access this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, then find and select the Keyboard option.

Test in Safe Mode: Restart your computer in Safe Mode and check if the keys work. This can help determine whether third-party software is causing the issue.

External Keyboard Test: If possible, plug in an external keyboard to see if the operating system recognizes inputs for the problematic keys as expected.

BIOS Settings Check: Enter BIOS setup (usually by pressing F10 during boot) to check if the keys work there. If they do not, it might suggest a hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
