The laptop lid is unable to close properly!!!

I bought the HP ENVY LAPTOP 13-aq0011 in 2019 November. When it first arrived, I realized that the laptop lid is unable to close properly. A half-inch gap always appears between the lid n the keyboard everytime I close the lid. This issue appears to be annoying me although it has not been affecting the overall performance of this laptop. However, I'm quite disappointed at the problem that my lid wil not close, leaving a large gap.
