You will have to install a M.2 SATA SSD and reinstall the operating system.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the SSD removal and replacement procedure:

You don't need to replace the drive with another 128 GB drive.
You can install a larger capacity drive 250 GB or more.
I recommend this model drive as a replacement.

After you replace the drive, you can use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

Since you will have to run the utility on another PC, you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.
