Hi @Debug222645

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that your system is not powering on or responding. If the laptop is completely unresponsive, there could be several reasons for it, including hardware or software issues. Here are some steps you can follow to try and troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check the Power Supply

  • Battery: If your laptop is running on battery power, it might have run out of charge. Plug the laptop into a wall socket using the charger.
  • Charger/Power Cable: Verify that the power cable and adapter are working. You should see a charging light or indicator when connected to power.
  • Power Button: Try pressing the power button for 10–15 seconds to see if it powers up. Some laptops have a power reset mechanism if held down for an extended period.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

A hard reset can help if your laptop is in an unresponsive state. Here’s how you can do it:

  • Turn off the laptop (if possible).
  • Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reinsert the battery (if removable) and plug in the charger.
  • Try turning the laptop on again.

3. Check for Overheating

If the system was lagging and then shut down unexpectedly, it could be due to overheating. Ensure that the laptop is in a well-ventilated area and that there is no dust blocking the cooling fans. Overheating can cause the system to shut down to protect the hardware.

  • Try turning on the system after allowing it to cool down for a while if you suspect overheating.

4. Check for External Devices

If there are any external devices (USB drives, external hard drives, peripherals) connected to your laptop, unplug them. Sometimes, a malfunctioning external device can prevent the system from booting correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
