Could be dirt,

Could be location (sitting on a pile of clothes, on a bed, anywhere the machine is not provided decent air circulation),

Could be failed fan,

Could be other failed component(s),

Could be overworked (too much, wrong kind software / load / demand),

Could be in need of updates (though this is likely not the cause, it is on the list of "possible stuff").
