Operating System: Linux

Never set up an admin password but it looks like there is one while switch between adminstrator and user modes.  I tried Administrator, password, admin, password , and they all failed.  By pressing F10 at restart, I restored to factory settings and reset security settings but none of they worked.   How to reset admin password on this HP thinpro mt20?  Or is there a password to make it work?  I can't even change network settings now cause the "network" menu is not showing up.. completed useless :Crying:

I am in the exact same spot.  Just got my MT20 from AntOnline.  They denied support and said to call HP.  If you find a solution, let me know too.

Hi Guys,

 

I was confronted with the same issues with several HP T520 thinpro thin clients. I downloaded the most recent LINUX image and reinstalled from scratch. When starting the device for the first time, a new admin PW can be entered.

 

Success!!

We contacted HP support and they sent us a link to a fresh install and it allowed us to enter the Admin password.  No one knows how it got set previously.
