HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq105dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all- My Touchpad/Wireless mouse has been driving me up a wall recently. What it does is sometimes when I hover my mouse over an app or somewhere that is clickable, it will auto click whatever it is hovered over on and just start going berserk as in double clicking things and it wont stop clicking things. I then use my touchpad to try and see if the wireless mouse is the issue and the touchpad mouse will barely move and do the same thing. When I say "barely move" I mean it is hard to move the mouse with the touchpad, and likewise with the wireless mouse, it will double click things also.

It is impossible to do anything productive on my laptop and I just furious. Can someone help me or guide me in the right direction to fixing this please. It is Windows 10 64 bit OS and the laptop is HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq105dx. Thanks SOOO much

@tvanichek, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the touchpad is not working as it should. Let us try these steps:

Perform a power reset, refer to - How to Power Reset your Laptop

Reset the BIOS to default:

(do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)

1.    Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.

2.    Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.

3.    On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.

4.    Press F10 to Save and Exit.

5.    Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?

6.    Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
