My touchpad/clickpad is not working. I've tried the following troubleshoot suggestions from other forum posts:

- I've restarted, hit "F2" and tried to test it, but the touchpad test failed - because it's not working!

- I've checked "device manager" to uninstall the Synaptics driver. BUT there is not "Synaptics driver" listed under Mice and other devices.

- I've tried installing the driver from HP and restarting my computer. The touchpad still doesn't work, and still no "synaptics" listed under devices.

- I've restarted, hit "F2" and tried to test it, but the touchpad test failed - because it's not working!

Can someone suggest my next steps? I really need my laptop to be functional before school starts.
