HP Personal Media Drive
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My objective is to move the files from my old HP computer to my new HP. Both are running windows 10 as the old system updated a few days before I did my last backup. When I hook my external drive up to the new computer, I can see the files I want to pull onto the new computer, but the message to "restore to original path" or to "restore to one folder" is not there. Is the external drive not capable of transferring the files as a group? I can open each picture or document and save to the new computer, but that won't work due to volume.

Thanks.

Have never used one of these drives but doesn't it have a program to install on the pc that is used to backup and restore files? How did you backup the files on the first machine? Did you ever restore any on original machine?

Edit: found this HP document which says the installer is on the drive:

I found the issue. I was "exploring" the files on the HP Personal Media Drive. I missed the "restore" button. It gave me the options I needed to save the files to the new computer. Thanks for your feedback.
