Hi Everyone,

I recently got a new HP Laptop and so far I am impressed and happy with it. However on the second day I had it, my laptop attempted to upgrade to Windows 10 1809 twice and failed both times. I have ran windows update to try to upgrade it a third time but nothing popped up regarding it. I did do a windows update troubleshoot but I am not sure if it did anything. Overall my laptop is running great; it's just I am not sure if it is normal to have trouble upprading to windows 10 1809. Has anyone experience this problem? What can I do to solve it?

Thank you in advance!

Hi

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Allows for an update, or to make a DVD/USB to try it when you are ready.

There were several false starts, and that may be have been the case, if so it is no fault of yours.

There are a large number of people with fairly new HP devices that won’t accept the Windows 1809 update.  HP is correcting the problem with BIOS updates. I would check the HP software download and driver website for your laptop and look for an updated BIOS.

I believe that I did download the bios update today. Hopefully that does the trick!

Thank you for your response
