I double checked that the charger works.  I replaced the battery.  I still can't get a charging light to come on.  What else can I do?  What is going on if I can't get it work turn on when plugged in?

Thank!

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Try some of the reset options listed on this website:  https://www.lifewire.com/fix-a-chromebook-that-wont-turn-on-4802489

Sounds to me like it could be a damaged charging port on the device...  If still under warranty, you can try contacting HP ( but they might reject the claim if they determine it to be "accidental damage").

I think I've given all of those steps a try.  Replace the battery is about the last one I think.  Can the charging port be replaced?
