I'm becoming crazy, I0m tryng to install my personal version of windows 7 in dual boot with the original windows 10. I've followed this guide : https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Archive-Read-Only/HP-15-g019wm-Trying-to-Install-Windows-7/t... but I'm blocked to the selection of the particion for the installation, I've tryed all drivers available on the web but the ssd plugged is absolutely anonymous ( sk Hynix bc501 ) and the result is that windows 7 does not recognize the disk. I've tryed to extract the.sys file directly from windows 10 in order to install it into the W7 image but without success...someone can help me please?? Thanks in advance.

Hi:
I can't find any specs on that model notebook PC.
Is it an M.2 SSD you are trying to install W7 on, or a 2.5" SATA SSD?
What is the hardware ID for the disk controller? Look under the W10 installation in the device manager.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device.

Check what USB port you are using.
After looking at the ports your laptop has it has 1 USB 2.0 port and 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports. Windows 7 does not have support for USB 3.1 nativally.

So you don't believe to me when I say that I've checked every driver on the web 🙂 I've already tried this way however I'm sorry but I don't know what type of disk is it, his information are the following: PCI//VEN_1C5C& DEV_1327. Let me know if you have more fortune than me and thanks in advance.

I have tried patiently every USB port and I think that on this laptop there are only 3.0 ports. Anyway I have inserted the driver directly into the W7 image and all works good until the selection of partition for installing OS. Because miss the disk controller driver. I have mastered the iso on the usb stick using GPT partition but nothjing helps.

my guess is that at this point its more of its not finding the USB installation media. While you can boot from it and have it load setup it wont find it and cant go any further thus saying that it cant find a hard drive controller driver. I know this from experience. I would try and add USB 3.1 drivers to the installation media. Your laptop does have 1 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.1 ports.
