HP Notebook - 15-bw096au

So, i have hp 15-bw0xx(15-bw096au), my parent bought it for my elder brother 3 year ago. And he didn't have any idea about windows activation and sign in.. after some updates windows get deactivated and we lost its genuine... i tried more than 100+ internet ideas to get product key but failed and not quit...  I clean reinstalled windows 10 pro 22h2(after bios update)... Currently using  virus to activate... But someone said Laptop's bios store product key but it may only detect if you have the original windows version with which the laptop came.

so

1)  Is it correct that i Can find out activation key if i somehow install original windows 10(with which my laptop came).

2) Anyone tell any method to find out my original windows version with which my laptop came or just tell the version...

3) Can anyone tell any method to find out product key(note: i don't have box and MSDM and SLIC table does not show in rweverything).

Thankyou

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs for your notebook.

HP Notebook - 15-bw096au Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

It did not come with W10 from HP, only FreeDOS 2.0, which means that no Windows product key is installed in the BIOS.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do other than to either find the product key that was used to install W10 or buy a new W10 license/key.

You're very welcome.

Whether or not Windows is activated, if it is installed and needs updates, Windows Update will download and install them.

After 30 days you will no longer be able to use Windows.

I suppose you can reinstall it every 30 days, but that would be pretty time consuming.

When you installed Windows, did you select the right version that was installed previously, and when you were asked to enter a product key, did you select the 'I don't have a product key' option?

If not, you should try that.

As far as performance issues, unfortunately I wouldn't know what the problem could be.

The seller supplied us with windows 10 pro... I once installed windows 10 home for like 7-8 days... Then now using windows 10 pro installed 3 weeks ago... I selected "i don't have product key"... Used kms activation cheat....

You said after 30 days i can't use windows... You mean genuine window's feature right.? Or you mean  i have to install windows, and all the settings, softwares(that i am currently using)again...

After 30 days Windows will quit working until you activate it.
