How do i update the UEFI/BIOS without Windows?

You basically don't -- at least, using the HP utilities because those only run in Windows -- which is the main reason many of us continue to dual-boot Windows and Linux, so we can continue to do firmware updates.

Okay, then i won't recommend HP Laptops.

What a shame, because of my recommandation this laptop was bought (without Windows pre-installed!).

I am wondering if this is legal, because i have to buy windows to get updates for the laptop? oO

 

A dual boot isn't and won't be an option...

 

I love the Linux Support of HP Printers, which i recommended too...
