Hi:

The cloud recovery tool doesn't work for your model since it was made prior to 2016.

It only works on select model PC's made in 2016 or later.

Yours was made in 2015.

You will need to reinstall W10 with the ISO file created by the Microsoft Media Creation tool.

I  Have exactly the same problem however the date issue is total rubbish. I bought a brand ne Omen 30L less than a week ago.

It's possible that HP has not yet uploaded the cloud recovery site with the recovery image for your model PC.

I recently got a new HP 15-ee047nr notebook made in 2020, and HP didn't upload the cloud recovery image until last week and the model has been out for around 3 months now.

In any event if the PC was made prior to 2016, the date issue is not total rubbish, as the notebook in this post was.

This document is for certain consumer PCs with Windows 10 or Windows 7.It is not available for all HP PCs. For HP business PCs go toHP PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Download Tool.
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive.
Currently, the tool supports consumer PCs manufactured in 2016 and later.

Also if you carefully read my reply, I indicated the tool was for select model PC's, not every model PC.

There are some PC's made in 2016 or later that are not supported by the cloud recovery tool.

I am confident that I know a whole lot more about this subject than you do.
