Hi:

Since you are not trying to install W7 on a nvme drive, I don't think you need either of those, and can skip the steps pertaining to those hotfixes.

Not creating the hotfix folder and not running this command.

dism /Image:C:\temp\mount /Add-Package /PackagePath:c:\temp\hotfix

Should I force install unsigned drivers for boot-critical errors?

HP Recommended

Yes.

Also make sure that you go into the BIOS, enable legacy mode, and disable secure boot.

W7 is not compatible with secure boot.

HP Recommended

What would secure boot affect?

HP Recommended

If you didn't know, I am doing dual boot with both Windows 7 and 10.

HP Recommended

W7 absolutely won't work with secure boot enabled.

That is all I know.

You can run W10 with secure boot disabled.

But would Windows 10 still work normally with the 3 partitions active on the harddrive?

HP Recommended

It should.

You're just going to have to find out and see.

In some circumstances changing the setting may cause the PC not to boot up, but in most cases, it doesn't.

For example, you cannot install a non-HP video card in a HP PC that comes with W8 or newer without enabling legacy mode and disabling secure boot.
