I have an Anker USB-C hub with a 60W power supply. Everything was working great for months. Recently, when I plug in the hub to the USB-C port, the computer no longer charges and and the external display doesn't work: "Display connection might be limited..." The mouse and keyboard work through the hub and USB-C port. The computer doesn't charge if I connect the power supply directly to the USB-C port. The power supply and hub work on another computer. The only way I can get the charger and the external display to work is performing a hard reset of the computer (I hold power button down for 15 seconds).

@gmkdog HP does not recommend using non-powered docks, as it draws more power than the laptop can provide, and the same causes the device to malfunction, you may want to check for docks that have an external power source, and that should work just fine.
