I have the same problem as described by several others but no solution helps:
Last Friday, a BIOS update (T39 01.15.02) was performed automatically with the HP G2 docking station connected. Since then my USB-C ports are completely without function (also no charging via USB-c possible).
I have seen that there have been similar problems before, but the solutions (reinstalling the BIOS, holding down the power button, etc.) have not worked for me.
When reinstalling the BIOS, only "Step 2 of 7" is displayed and then the whole thing is displayed as successfully completed, whereby I assume that the USB-C/Thunderbolt functionality would be one of the remaining steps (at least that's how it was on Friday).
In the device manager of Win10 the "UCM-UCSI ACPI-device" is also displayed with a yellow exclamation mark.
Do you have any other suggestions on what I could do to solve the problem? Would reinstalling Win10 fix the problem or is the problem more at BIOS level?
Is it possible to flash an older BIOS version and then upgrade again? Where to find old BIOS Versions?
Many thanks and best regards
