HP Spectre 13 3090ez
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

 Hello

I performed a Windows reset on my HP Spectre 13 3090ez. But the layout of the partitions on the disk having become messy over time, I would like to delete all the partitions and reinstall Windows.

So I created a bootable USB flash drive with Windows 10 2004 using Windows Media Creation Tool. Then I rebooted the PC and I was able to select the USB flash drive but a message saying that the secure boot prevents booting from the flash drive interrupted the process.

So I disabled the secure boot from the UEFI but now I don't see the USB flash drive in the boot device list anymore.

I tested the flash drive on another PC and it is visible and bootable.

Is there a manipulation to be done on top of that?

@jeankowkow, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you don't have an HP Recovery media and have attempted reset using the windows troubleshooter or a retail copy of windows, you'll need to order a recovery media: Click here for steps.

Or you may also attempt to download the same using the steps on this link: click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello @TEJ1602

Thank you for your reply but it does not really answers my question.

I followed your links. Unfortunately, HP Cloud Recovery Tool does not provides recovery image for my laptop. And the Windows 10 Reset option does not allow to change the partitions mapping on the disk.

Follow the steps below to configure the boot order on most computers-

1.      Turn on or restart the computer.

2.      While the display is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.

The BIOS settings menu is accessible by pressing the f2 or the f6 key on some computers.

3.   After opening the BIOS, go to the boot settings.

· For notebook PCs: select the Storage tab, and then select Boot Options.

· For desktop PCs: select the System Configuration tab, and then select Boot Order.

2.       Follow the on-screen instructions to change the boot order.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
