When troubleshooting wireless, it's important that your system is fully updated by opening a terminal, CTRL+ALT+T. Using a wired internet connection, please run:
Code:

sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade

and reboot if necessary.

If the issues persist, it is recommended that you install pastebinit, by running:
Code:

sudo apt install pastebinit

This will enable the wireless script to, upon your approval, upload the obtained data to pastebin, creating at the same time a link to it in your terminal, permitting you to paste it to a forum thread.

Once that's done, download and run the wireless info script, which will gather information to help diagnose your system. You can run it using this command:
Code:

wget -N -t 5 -T 10 https://github.com/UbuntuForums/wireless-info/raw/master/wireless-info && \
chmod +x wireless-info && \
./wireless-info

It will create the file "wireless-info.txt" at the location it is run from, and depending on its size, an additional archive called "wireless-info.tar.gz". If you prefer, you can post the file directly to pastebin yourself. Sensitive information like MAC addresses and WPA/WEP keys are masked automatically.

If you aren't able to connect to the internet with the affected system, including via a wired connection, just navigate to
https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2082305&p=12350385&viewfull=1#post12350385 using another device and follow the instructions there on how to the run wireless script without an internet connection.

I have this problem whe I start installing Ubuntu from bios.uBBJSRzcHco.jpg

Yes, but if you have one of the older realtek wifi things than run the wireless script lil boy in blue mentioned. There is a way to install ubuntu with windows as a dual boot just go to install and put the info it needs and select "install ubuntu with windows boot manager".

@Oakwinlinz

Your post is misleading as your last statement implies that you can use the Windows boot manager to install Linux.

This is not true!

The actual situation is that option is to install Linux "alongside" Windows boot manager -- it uses the Linux installer to do this, and since it has to shrink the Windows OS partition to do this, more often than not it results in filesystem corruption to Windows -- which is then really hard to fix, because Windows will no longer boot.

You should not be providing this advice.

Thanks, I did not notice the typo due to how fast I was typing. What I meant to say is that you could select Install Ubuntu alongside Windows Boot Manager.

Try turning off ACPI in GRUB, as this is a ACPI related error check out how to do it here:  https://www.howtogeek.com/196655/how-to-configure-the-grub2-boot-loaders-settings/

OK, you corrected statement IS true -- but it's BAD advice because the Linux installer does not know properly how to handle modern NTFS setups and all too often, results in corrupting the Windows File System while shrinking the OS partition, and since that prevents Windows from booting, it makes it nearly impossible to fix.

If you are going to deal with Linux issues in this forum, you need to recommend stuff that will NOT damage their Windows setup.
