Hi,
Dell produce laptops with the same CPU like in your laptop and installed with 18.04 version of Ubuntu. I think that Ubuntu should work on your laptop. I'd try a linux Mint or MX Linux if Ubuntu can't be installed/loaded from the live CD which I presume means not able to run. Both are Debian/Ubuntu based distributions and similar to Ubuntu. Mageia linux is currently the most popular linux based on distrowatch.com. It's based on Arch linux but it worked like a charm on my Probook. No need to stick with Ubuntu when plenty of other options are available for the same goal.
