Hi all... why does my new envy x360 not have the "limit battery charging to 80%" feature? I searched every where, but have not been successful in finding how to enable this? can anyone help please.

Hi:

Only some select HP business class notebooks have the battery charge limit option in the BIOS.

Your notebook does not support that feature.

See the link below for how to get the most life out of your notebook's battery:

IMHO, the most important thing to not do is to leave your notebook plugged in to AC power 24/7/365 or that may lead to battery swelling.

Once in a while (like once or twice a month), unplug your notebook from A/C power and run it off the battery until the battery charge indicator reaches 15%, then you can plug it in and recharge the battery.

Oh no!!!! That's unfortunate for me 😞  I do like my hp envy x360 touch screen laptop, but this is not what I expexted from such a known brand. The thing is, I work alot on my laptop, sometimes for 5 or 6 hours straight, so I need it plugged in; as I don't want to be constantly plugging and unplugging it when I need to be concentrating on my work. Is there any third party app I can download that can do this?
