Any advice most welcome here....
Blue Choose an option screen is haunting me!
I have followed as many trouble shooting tips as I can but this screen is never leaving!
Clicked 'Troubleshoot' then 'Advanced Options' then 'Start up Repair' to read the message it couldnt repair my PC.
So click 'Advanced Options' ...
Back to 'Troubleshoot', then 'ReSet PC' to read 'No problems resetting your PC, no changes made'. Only button to click is 'cancel' and then the Blue Choose an option screen returns! Ground hog day!!!!

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand you are unable to go past the "choose repair options" screen as it's in a loop,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you attempt to restore the PC to an earlier working time?
Have you removed any external devices that could be causing these issues?
While you respond to that, here's a few things you could do:
The best way to do that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:
Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
CLICK HERE FOR STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS.
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

Thank you for your reply Riddle_Decipher.
I have tried to restore the computer to a previous time but when you ask about removing exernal devices, I did remove the battery by accident. I accidently closed the notebook with a pen trapped at the back of the notebook and it puched out one side of the battery.
I have since removed the battery when following the instructions from one of HP's support processed in trying to fix my current problem.
If it helps my receptionist was trying to figure out the problem before me and in recovery came up with "Your PC needs to be repaired. The operating system couldn't be located because a critical system driver is missing or contains errors."
Does any of this help?
Thank you again for your support.
