ProBook 445 g7
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently bought a used ProBook 445 g7 with ryzen 4500u, 8gb ram, and 256 gb ssd. It came with a reset windows 11, I updated all software including bios from windows update, then I thought it'd b a good idea to do a fresh install. I have tried installing win 11 21h2 and 22h2, i cannot install the Radeon drivers. Every time I try installing the driver(that i downloaded from amd, i have also tried hp driver), i get an error saying installation failed. And even when I do get it to install, it shows a yellow triangle in device manager and trying to reinstall it gives me error code 43.

I have tried DDU, disabling driver installations using gp as well as advanced system settings(neither works), hp software assistant just shows no software updates needed. Windows is fully up to date. I've spent 2 days on this, still nothing.

Earlier i used to get it working when I uninstalled updates kb5022505 and/or kb5022836, but even that doesn't work now. Then it's get overridden by windows driver i guess cuz after restart i get the error that Radeon adrenaline cannot start cuz windows changed the driver or something.

The driver install even failed on a fresh install of 21h2.

The resolution is stuck at 1024x768. No GPU is shown in task manager, and it's running very hot.

I have tried reinstalling the bios from hp site, s79 v 01.12.00 rev a.

So, to summarise, I haven't been able to get Radeon drivers installed at all. Always fails and when it doesn't fail, doesn't actually work/gives error code 43 when trying to choose driver from device manager.
