Hi,
Please help I am somewhat struggling, after re-installing windows 10 (due to having windows pro) on my laptop it would seem that the HP drivers don't work and has become rather frustrating.
I have spoken to support via messenger and have the latest version of the HP support assistant which unfortunately doesn't work, it says there are 15 drivers to update, but almost all the ones on the list won't install for example the nvidia, this means I have loads of unknown devices in the device manager.
I have also tried manually installing the drivers for the same device and this also doesn't work! Using the link on the HP website.
As a last resort I have tried the HP cloud recovery tool, but guess what, this also seems to be rubbish in that it has sat there for over 12 hours 'calculating the hash'.
I am very experienced in IT and have done the same process with Dell laptops and never had any issues.
I have only owned this laptop for less then a week and spent way to long sorting it out, I am very close to sending it back under warranty.
Thanks Chris

Hi,
Me again, just wanted to say that I managed to fix this problem and I want to help anyone else out who stumbles across the same issue.
First thing is don't re-format the Laptop or any other device, whilst it seems attractive to get rid of all the HP stuff it isn't worth the problems. Anyway if you have done this already, the issue I had was the exact windows 10 version, I don't mean Home/Pro I mean the build number. I installed a old version as I thought it makes no difference as you get the service packs, however the drivers and especially the HP support assistant is very fussy about this. I found in my case I needed a build number of 1903 which was May 19 ( I found this on the HP website of supported builds). I downloaded this from MSDN and everything worked!
This took me a week to sort this mess out!
Thanks Chris
