On March 23, 2024, I reinstalled Windows, after correct installation, I installed all the necessary updates and drivers in a tab on the desktop of the laptop, and at the very end it was displayed to update the Bios to the new version, and after that the Bios went into a loop, and now it generally gives an error and the keyboard does not work.  I received an error message: "Flashed BIOS image verification failed." This sent the system into a boot loop where it booted into HP BIOS Recovery and repeated the flashing process only to return the same error message.

Will flashing the firmware through the programmer CH341a help me if I bring my laptop to a technician for repairs?

Hi @Valoran2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you've encountered a BIOS update issue with your HP Pavilion laptop, which has resulted in a boot loop and an error message stating "Flashed BIOS image verification failed." Here's a step-by-step guide on how you might proceed to resolve this issue.

  • Check HP Support Documentation: Visit the official HP support website for your specific model of HP Pavilion laptop. Look for any documentation or articles related to BIOS recovery or troubleshooting specific to your model.
  • Attempt BIOS Recovery: Many HP laptops have a BIOS recovery feature that can help in situations like this. Typically, you need to press a specific key combination during startup to initiate the recovery process. Refer to your laptop's manual or HP's support documentation for the exact key combination and steps to perform BIOS recovery.
  • Use BIOS Recovery USB: Some HP laptops support BIOS recovery through a USB drive. You might need to create a BIOS recovery USB drive using another computer and then use it to recover the BIOS on your laptop.

Remember to back up any important data if possible before attempting any troubleshooting steps that might involve modifying the BIOS or performing a system recovery. BIOS updates are critical system-level updates, and improper installation or interruption during the process can lead to issues like the one you're experiencing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
