I am experiencing a critical issue with my HP Victus 15 laptop. Below is a detailed timeline of what happened and what I have tried so far:

Initially, my laptop showed repeated BSOD (blue screen of death) with the error code CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT (0x101) while I was updating the NVIDIA graphics driver.
After reboot attempts, I reached BitLocker recovery. I entered the recovery key from my Microsoft account.
I tried entering Safe Mode, but was unable to use my PIN to log in. Eventually, I switched my login method to password and entered Safe Mode successfully.
I attempted Windows reset with “Keep my files”, but this failed with a BSOD (CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED).
I then created a Windows 11 installation USB using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool. During the installation process:
I deleted all partitions (Disk 0) and tried to install Windows 11 on unallocated space.
However, installation repeatedly failed with BSOD errors (CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT, MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION).
At one point, I also received the error message: “Windows cannot install required files. Error code: 0x80070568”.

I ran HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI:
Memory Quick Check → PASSED
Drive SMART Check & Long DST → PASSED
This indicates no obvious hardware issue with RAM or storage.

Despite this, Windows installation still fails and my system cannot boot into any OS at this point.

Request

Please advise if this is a hardware-related issue (CPU, motherboard) or a firmware/driver-related issue.
Should I proceed with an HP service center repair since the diagnostics show no failure but the system cannot install Windows?
Any additional troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

@GKinKR,

If your model came with Windows preinstalled, try HP Cloud Recovery Tool that creates a bootable recovery usb drive that will restore the storage drive to a factory state.

Click the link below to the HP document for how to use the recovery tool.

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support

The cloud recovery tool download link is in the document.

You'll be prompted to enter the full product number (ProdID) when another PC is used to run the recovery software. The ProdID is on the bottom cover of your notebook.
